The ideal glass product is one that permits the greatest amount of natural light to enter a building while reducing or eliminating solar radiation and solar heat gain. Vetrotech's fire-rated glass products provide protection from fire, while delivering a maximum amount of visible light to interior spaces. Buildings with Vetrotech products can earn points in the "Daylight and Views" categories of various LEED building design and construction standards. Read below about other ways Vetrotech fire-rated glass can help with your next green building project.
LEED Certification
Vetrotech's fire-rated glass products can contribute to achieving points as environmentally preferable products in LEED for New Construction (NC), LEED-Core and Shell (CS), LEED for Schools, LEED-Commercial Interiors (CI), and LEED for Healthcare.
HPD's Published
HPD Collaborative has developed a searchable database that contains hundreds of Health Product Declarations (also known as HPD's) which owners and designers can access to assist in their LEED documenting process. In 2016, Vetrotech proudly announced that our HPD's for Keralite and Contraflam products were the first and only fire-rated glass products to be listed in the HPD Collaborative 2.0 directory.

EPD Certification
The Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) is based on a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and includes information about the environmental impacts associated with a product or service, such as raw material acquisition, energy use and efficiency, content of materials and chemical substances, emissions to air, soil and water and waste generation. Visit UL and learn more about certified EPD's.
► Vetrotech EPDs are listed and certified with UL Environmental. They provide relevant, verified, measurable and comparable information about the environmental impact from our fire resistant glass products.
